Fabulous Wedding flowers for just £40!!!!

As was sitting in the Garden at Shelley's Hotel last on Saturday waiting for my appointment to arrive, i couldn't help but notice an ambudence of gorgeous flowers in bloom and lots of lush green foliage all around the garden and I thought to myself, surely a lot of well mantained gardens out there should be looking like this garden this time of the year, bursting with avalanche rose blooms, hydrangeas and wild roses.

Ok, to cut the story short, as part of my "Fabulous wedding on a budget" project I decided that when i get back to work on Monday, I would get everyone in our studio to bring in anything they could find in their home gardens, Blooms, Foliage, twigs, grass the lot! Walking into the office Tuesday morning was like walking into wonderland! Everyone made an effort and brought a collection of flowers and foliage. I found a Eucalyptus tree in our work car park which i was really pleased about. Someone managed to drag in a huge dried spooky lookingtree branch with some really crooked twigs which we have used to create a messege tree for an Alice in Wonderland themed wedding which is in a couple of weeks time (watch this space for photos)

Tuesday was such a glorious day so we worked on our flower collection out in the garden enjoying the last of the summer sunshine! We managed to create 7 beautiful large table arrangements which consisted of some foliage, eucalyptus, white roses, freesias and chrysanthiums, all collected from my and my colleagues' gardens. The flowers where used the following day as table centers for an anniversary at The Courtlands Hotel

Thinking creatively with the support of your friends and family can save you a lot of money and you will get unique, wedding flowers at a price you can afford to pay.
The costs incurred in this project are for floral oasis and trays and we also spent £15 on a few bunches of sprays from the flower stand. So in total, for 7 large arrangements we spent a total of just £40!!

The beautiful Horsted Place

Right, where do i start? All i can think about now is extremely Beautiful, Grand,and Very Romantic!!! Those who have been to Horsted Place will know exactly what i mean. I have worked on Wedding in so many lovely different venues but i have to say, this place is one of my favorites and i would not hesitate to recommend it to anyone who is looking for wedding venue.

We arrived at Horsted Place quite early in the morning as we were setting up for a wedding with 100 guests which meant we hand to dress 200 chairs!! 100 for the wedding ceremony and 100 for the wedding breakfast. The wedding ceremony took place in the garden. It was a beautiful sunny day so it was an absolute pleasure to dress the ceremony chairs with my 2 year old son helping me.

The colour scheme was white and silver, the result was very styling and elegant.

Wedding at The Terraces Brighton Bar & Grill

The Terraces Brighton is a fantastic venue for a Wedding. It is always a pleasure to dress this venue, the view from the restaurant is absolutely breathtaking! The theme was Navy blue which goes very well with the venue. We dressed the venue with white chair covers and navy blue sashes. The couple went for a 4 Tier sponge wedding Cake from our Ivory cake collection finished with a Navy Blue ribbon and hand made sugar roses. The cake topper was provided by the couple. We are looking forward to dressing the next wedding at The Terraces Brighton.

Wedding Reception at Nick's Place Restaurant

Last Saturday was a busy day for all the girls here at Brighton Brides. We arrived at Nick's place early in the morning to dress and decorate the venue and assemble the wedding cake for Richard and Anna's Wedding Reception. The cake was a 4 tier Vanilla Sponge filled with vanilla Butter cream and Raspberry jam. We finished the cake with a lilac ribbon and fresh avalanche roses to go with their colour theme.

With its high ceilings and beautiful crystal chandeliers, Nick's Place Restaurant is a fantastic venue to decorate for a wedding reception. The couple picked silver and lilac as their wedding theme. All the chairs were dressed in Brighton Brides' white chair covers and silver sashes. We completed the tables with lilac napkins and pale pink avalanche roses. The larger flower arrangements were done for us by Florian.

The outside area was decorated with Bay Trees and lanterns with candles which added a romantic touch to the evening. Anna & Richard were very kind to let us take photos and use them on our blog.

Our next wedding is next week, Saturday 2nd April in the Terrace room at Courtlands hotel, please watch this space to see how we got on.
