Wedding Reception at Nick's Place Restaurant
Last Saturday was a busy day for all the girls here at Brighton Brides. We arrived at Nick's place early in the morning to dress and decorate the venue and assemble the wedding cake for Richard and Anna's Wedding Reception. The cake was a 4 tier Vanilla Sponge filled with vanilla Butter cream and Raspberry jam. We finished the cake with a lilac ribbon and fresh avalanche roses to go with their colour theme.
With its high ceilings and beautiful crystal chandeliers, Nick's Place Restaurant is a fantastic venue to decorate for a wedding reception. The couple picked silver and lilac as their wedding theme. All the chairs were dressed in Brighton Brides' white chair covers and silver sashes. We completed the tables with lilac napkins and pale pink avalanche roses. The larger flower arrangements were done for us by Florian.
The outside area was decorated with Bay Trees and lanterns with candles which added a romantic touch to the evening. Anna & Richard were very kind to let us take photos and use them on our blog.
Our next wedding is next week, Saturday 2nd April in the Terrace room at Courtlands hotel, please watch this space to see how we got on.

We are delighted to announce our Monochrome collection as well as the Romantic Vintage collection which is now available in our studio for purchase or hire. Please check out our website for prices and images.
Vintage themes are hot on trend at the moment so why not pop into our studio and browse through our Vintage items including Bird cages, Candelabras and vintage style vases. We have designed gorgeous invitations and favor boxes using delicate vintage laces and furthers to complete a Vintage wedding theme.
Want to do your own stationary, we now have available for sale, a variety of Ribbons and laces in our studio. Please call us to arrange a visit, we are open Tuesday to Sunday.

How to save money on booking your Wedding Reception venue
Now that you have got a date for your wedding, one of the first things that come to mind is the Reception venue. Location of the venue is very important. It will make things logistically easy on the day if you choose a venue that is nearer to where the ceremony is being held or even better, choose a venue that is licensed to perform civil ceremonies so you have everything in one place.
*Did you know that most venues charge less to book their venue on a Friday than Saturday? Why not have your wedding on a Friday instead and save a few pounds to spend on your Honeymoon?
*Also, Hotels tend to charge less during quiet season between January and end of April.
*Some Hotels will not charge room hire if you spend a certain amount of money on food, for example if you book a 3 course Wedding Breakfast plus their drinks package. Last year we managed to get venues for free for a couple of our clients at 2 different hotels in Brighton.
*Remember, most hotels offer their Bridal suite complimentary so make sure to make reference to this just in case they forget to offer you one.
* It is best to go for a venue that has ample parking for you and your guests.
If you venue is a Hotel and has no parking space, from experience, we have found out that hotels can get 24hr parking vouchers for on-street parking at a very reasonable price from the local council office, so it is worth asking your venue to provide you with the vouchers for your guests to park on the streets around the venue.
